A Spring 2025 student project focused on creating an innovative app blending community and pop culture internet personalities.

Intrntgrl is born from the desire to combine the the community aspect of a social media app like X, formerly Twitter, and the interface of an app like Reddit where users are able to connect based on shared interests, designed for a niche audience of the chronically online and allows for online communities to form

similar to most social media platforms users are able to like and comment on each others posts, follow one another, direct message, and engage with a content on a custom “discover page”

Competitor Analysis

First Iteration Screens

my design process began with a comprehensive competitor analysis of three main social media apps that I used for inspiration for intrntgrl, this included Reddit, X, and Bumble Bff.

then I developed lofi wireframes to outline the layout of my screens and began my first iteration of screens

initally intrntgrl was names “justaninternetgirl”, however due to the length of the name it was abbreviated to intrntgrl

the first iteration of screens used a different font and flat backgrounds, this caused difficulty in enabling the app to feel like y2k internet design so changes were made
