Overview
A Spring 2025 student project focused on creating an innovative app blending community and pop culture.
Intrntgrl is born from the desire to combine the the community aspect of a social media app like X, formerly Twitter, and the interface of an app like Reddit where users are able to connect based on shared interests, designed for a niche audience
Similar to most social media platforms users are able to like and comment on each others posts, follow one another, direct message, and engage with a content on a custom “discover page”
Intrntgrl celebrates Y2k internet design and pop culture
Design Process
My design process began with a comprehensive competitor analysis of three main social media apps that I used for inspiration for intrntgrl, including Reddit, X, and Bumble BFF.
Then I developed lo-fi wireframes to outline the layout of my screens and began my first iteration of screens
Through multiple rounds of iteration and refinement I produced a final style guide reflective of early 2000s internet design with a focus on community engagement through app features such as direct messaging
